Criminal justice is an ever-changing field that offers a number of different career paths. As technology evolves, criminal justice specialists have to continually adapt and evolve their strategies. As a result, criminal justice programs are becoming highly specialized. At out university, we are keeping pace with the evolving field of criminal justice, offering specialized areas of focus, including the field of cyber crime.
The population is aging. The baby boom generation is already reaching the point of retirement. The result of the aging population is a tremendous strain on the national healthcare system. There is already a huge nursing shortage in this country and the entire healthcare system is reaching a critical point.
Thanks to the concerted and continual efforts of law enforcement officials, 2004 showed the lowest crime rate in 30 years. To continue this trend, it is important for those people who want to make a difference in society to consider careers in law enforcement. Only by continuing to populate law enforcement with qualified, dedicated individuals can we hope to make our streets safer for ourselves and our children.
